I found some of my old pencil drawings, and decided to do a little make over. This originally started out as a body study, but somewhere along the road he ended up with wings. I remember drawing a quick sketch of both man and wings on separate pieces of paper, and then combining them with the help of greasepaper. Ah.. those good old days. Photoshop helped me with a background, and also redrawing parts of his wings. I've never drawn wings before (not after this drawing, either), but at least I tried to add a feathery feel to them this time.

my fav from your gallery. ^w^ it really surprised me all the details of his body.

Anyway the wings look incredible, the shadows, the movement.. :) I think anyway you have to make a wing study, maybe the bones are not capted at all.. ^w^ sowey for being too critic, but it's the only mistake (or nearly a mistake) I saw on ALL your gallery.. Sow don't hate me xDD

^w^ to my favs, the best one, with the softey cloud! yay!

Thank you :D

I love critic, so don't worry about me being angry, cause I wont! :D I think if I'd ever were to draw wings again, I would have to do a study, yes. I'm satisfied with the body, though :)

You should check out my new picture "Torso study" [link] and help me with some more critique.

For not ever drawing wings before, these are breath taking-the strongest point to me being the outlining of them in places and the shadows. Pencil is my favorite medium to see, it's real and nothing adds life and a story quite like traditional mediums like back when the first masters of art made their marks in history. The position of the man couldn't be more perfect either for the drooped wing and cast shadows. Theres definetly a story in perhaps his sadness? You truly are an amazingly gifted artist with expression, not only that but you can make it something beautiful. Amazing job.

Thank you :)

This picture is actually drawn way back, and I cannot remember why I first drew it. I also like the feeling the picture gives me :)
